We all know that Garfield sucks and is an abomination on the comics page. I always assumed that at one point it must have been funny. Right? How else would it have gotten to be in every fucking paper in America?

I was completely and utterly wrong. Jim Davis shot his comidic wad in his very first strip. I present the very first Garfield comic to you.
